I'M BAACCCKK!!!

Whew...what a ride! Things have been so crazy it seems like months since I've been online and in touch. Work is intense and haven't had ANY play time. I'M SO BUMMED. I've gotta give my kids some play time or they're going to revolt on me!!

I hope all is well with everyone...who's doin' what? What great projects are you working on...haven't seen any pics lately-what's up with that???

Well, I will be making a point to be more active again on the site and work to finish my ATC for Mom (from February's challenge...uh it's April???)

Love you all...sweet dreams...hds

Just call me Dory

Here's the link http://www.alteredbookartists.com/gallery/memberspages/index.html

Resource Link

Here's a great link to the International Society of Altered Book Artist (ISABA) which shows the many many different and wonderful ways to alter your book. For those of us who are new (and maybe a little intimidated like me!) it might be a good place to start to get inspired to create your own. BTW: Was there a theme involved with the Altered Book? And are we still completing the March Madness ATC?

A better way to post

We were all thinking it would be good to post your comment as a post instead of under comments so it is easier for everyone to read them. What do you think?

Anyone up for a new challenge?

We were thinking about the powerful tool of gratitude and thought to ourselves this would be a great challenge for our group. No rules, any book you want can be altered, covered with paper and decorated with the intent of finishing the sentence, Today, I am happy and grateful for.... It is a transformational tool that can refocus your energy on your blessings. What happens is what you are focusing on and thankful for grows. If anyone is interested post your intent to participate and we will post our journals and how they are working in our lives.

Valentine Card trade

Okay - Crystal and I took it upon ourselves to draw the names for the Valentine's Day card exchange. The trades are as follows:

Yogi-licious sends to Zen-Nanabanana
Zen-Nanabanana sends to Passionate Soul -(Passionate Soul - Pick which one you would like from the 2 cards I submitted and I will mail that one to you.)
Passionate Soul sends to Pippin's Girl
Pippin's Girl sends to Create Your Passion
Create Your Passion sends to Yogi-licious

Jenny - we didn't include you in this trade because your beautiful card has photos of your family in it and we know you'd want to keep that for your collection.

Indigo Mom and Mara - we will be including you in the Spring card exchange (unless we hear back from you that you would prefer not to participate in Spring's exchange.)

Just a note: It's a good idea to make 2 cards - one to keep and one to trade!

Who's Who????

Here's the run-down of who's who on the site:

Pippin's Girl - Marilyn
Create Your Passion - Kelly
Passionate Soul - Heidi
Yogi-licious - Crystal
JennyBoBenny - Jenny
Zen-Nanabanana - Diana
Indigomom - Sandy
Mara - Mara

Take some time to think about a creative name. It took us all a bit to figure it out...but what's cool is you can change it at any time... i.e. Zen-Nanabanana used to be AuntNana/Mema!!

Hey Yogi! Hey Passionate Soul! Oh! And Mara and Indigomom!

Um... Where's your Valentine ATC's??? Can't trade them till you're done with yours! Come on girls, you can do it! Mara and Sandy - you're new to the group, but are you going to participate in the Valentine swap?

Trying it out to see if I can actually post something

Hi all I will hopefully be posting to you in the near future as Indigomom! so don't get used to this Sandy stuff.

Aunt Nana's Valentine ATC's

I made 2 - 1 to keep, 1 to trade... For me, getting these done this month was like pulling teeth. My creative juices are flowing so slowly right now! I guess I need more practice! More ATC's! :-)
